Angie’s Tips For Growing Microgreens
Once you decide you’d like to grow microgreens, you’ll need just a few things to get started.
- Choose your microgreen seeds, Amazon sells many options
- Select a planter that is at least an inch deep, a washed foil pan will work, and save money
After you have your items, you are ready to get started! Place about an inch of dirt in your planter. Spread seeds onto dirt, gently pressing seeds into dirt. Water regularly, but do not over water. When the sprouts are 2-3″ tall, you can cut them close to the base and enjoy! Some sprouts will regrow, but if your don’t, you’ll just need to spread more seeds.
Since I’ve grown microgreens many times, I prefer to grow them in shallow planters. In fact, growing them in different planters allows me to grow in succession so I’m never without microgreens.
In conclusion, microgreens are easy and fun to grow. Let me know in the comments below if you’ll try growing microgreens. In the meantime, are you interested in more beginner gardener tips & tricks? Take a look at all my beginner gardener tips & tricks!
