Angie’s Notes

- Want more warming flavors? Add pumpkin pie spice, nutmeg, or cinnamon!
Why I Love This Almond Date Syrup
It is very satisfying when I taste this almond date syrup while on the Your Super detox. I love dipping my Seed Bread or apples into this tasty syrup.
In addition to being tasty, this is also very easy to make. This recipe is versatile as well, you can choose to stop making it after blending the date & water together and you have a date syrup that can be used in smoothies, to top desserts, or to enjoy on its own!
This week I’ll share ways you can make this date syrup even better. Continue reading to learn ways to make this date syrup a little extra.
Ideas To Change The Date Syrup
If you’ve read my blog for a while, you’ll know that I love to share ways to make a recipe “your own”. I’m not against someone taking my recipe and adjusting it to their taste/preference. Taking a base recipe and changing or adding to it is one of my favorite things to do in the kitchen.
Things I Think Would Work Well In This Date Syrup
- Cinnamon or nutmeg
- Try using fresh nuts instead of nut butter
- Vanilla – powder (or extract if not detoxing)
- Use different types of nut butter for different flavors
- Angie’s Cocoa Powder (if not detoxing)
- Sub some dates with raisins, I really like golden rasins
Have you tried this date syrup? How will you use it?
